Permanent loss of the lake → swamp and mosquito hazard.

Our dam was built nearly 50 years ago and has served the community well. But over time, and with increased stormwater runoff from growing regional development, the erosion on Spillway #1 has worsened dramatically.

Over the past 10 years we have lost over 200ft of that spillway in sections 8-10 feet deep. Today, less than 20 feet of soil remains before a full breach. Every rainstorm takes away a little more; with larger storms taking larger chunks of the spillway. Without immediate intervention, we risk losing the lake entirely.
